Who Are We?
We are a church family devoted to serving God, each other and our community, while continually striving to understand and grow in our knowledge of his Word and seeking to share the good news that forgiveness, redemption, and salvation is found in Jesus Christ and offered to all.
What to expect when you visit us
We worship God through singing songs (a capella), prayer, reading scripture, and hearing a message from the Bible. We take communion each Sunday to remember and commemorate Jesus’ sacrifice. Visitors are welcome to participate in communion. We also take up a voluntary collection to support the works and missions of the church. Guests are not expected to contribute. Midway through the morning service, children are dismissed to participate in our children’s worship service.

- Financial support to Churches of Christ nationwide in the event of natural disasters
Children's Ministry
We have a small but enthusiastic group of kiddos that meet throughout the week to have fun while learning about the Bible:
- Bible classes are offered on Sunday mornings at 9:45 (before the worship service) and Sunday evenings at 6:00 (during the evening worship service).
- On Wednesdays, we host Family Night with a free catered meal open to all families and guests, after which we break into small group bible studies geared toward adults, young adults, and children.
- We also provide opportunities for fun and fellowship throughout the year through parties, outings and events.
- Lastly, we offer a Children’s Worship program, giving the kids a chance to participate in age-appropriate worship during the regular Sunday morning church service.

Shawn Lawhon
Minister
Shawn graduated from California State University, Bakersfield with a Master's Degree in Modern European and American History. He is full-time high school history teacher and has taught history at the community college level. Shawn has been the part-time minster since 2022 and is a third-generation minister of the Churches of Christ.
