The High Desert Bible College is supported by the Quartz Hill Church of Christ and located on the property of the church. It was established on August 4, 2012.
The college was the realization of a dream of Brother Don Raines, Minister at the Church of Christ at Quartz Hill. Brother Raines desired to have an academic institution in the Antelope Valley for people to learn in Religious Studies courses. He brought this idea to Brother Jerry Strealy. Brother Strealy had the necessary qualifications to begin the necessary groundwork and paperwork make the school a reality.
The mission of the High Desert Bible College is Training Disciples for Christian Ministry. Since its opening in August, 2012, the college has been growing in course and program offerings. Currently the High Desert Bible College offers a Certificate Course program of Biblical Studies and an Associate of Arts Program in Biblical Studies. Future plans for the school are to expand the course offerings to include those courses that would lead to a Bachelor’s Degree
The High Desert Bible College now has four instructors with varying areas of interest in Biblical Studies. The current faculty is:
The Late Jerry L. Strealey, Instructor: BA, MA, MS, MS, PhD, Director Emeritus 2012 - 2018
